9 Months Old!

Bruce-

Last month we called you a mover and a shaker. This month we are calling you All-Over-the-Place-Crazy-Wild-Man! You can shimmy, roll-roll-roll and roll some more, rotate, swivel, lift up, rock back and forth on your hands and knees, twist, slide, crawl backwards and forward!

It wasn't many months ago that you HATED being on your tummy. Now we can't keep you on your back long enough to put on your diaper! Mommy has learned how to put your diaper on after you have flipped (Daddy hasn't quite mastered this trick yet!).

You still love when we read to you on the floor before bed. However, there have been several times that mommy has looked up from the book and has found you half way across the room with a big grin on your face!

You love to wave bye-bye and do juicy raspberries. You still make us laugh when we hear you doing raspberries on the nursery monitor.

You are feeding yourself finger foods everyday. However, you are proving to be rather picky. When you put something disagreeable in your mouth you make the funniest faces. It always makes your daddy laugh when you show us your cute little disgusted shudder.

You are so strong! You are a very solid, sturdy 20 pounds. You have a line backer body with a movie star smile. At your 9 month doctor's appointment, the nurse commented on how strong you were as she was trying to hold your hand down. You are very tough as well. When the nurse pricked your finger for the iron test you showed your lower lip but NO tears!

You have the best personality and sense of humor. Making you laugh is still so easy and fun. When we say your name in a silly way you always give us a loud chuckle.

We joined a music class and you love the instruments! You had a particular fondness for the drum sticks. Although, you had a hard time understanding why we had to give them back to the nice lady after class. I guess we are learning more than just music in this class!

You still love getting out and about. You enjoy riding in the grocery cart, sitting in restaurant highchairs, and going on long walks to Starbucks with your mommy.

You get super excited when you hear your daddy walk through the door. You wait anxiously in the nursery anticipating his arrival. When he walks in you give him a big gummy smile and a loud excited coo.

Your daddy and I are having a blast watching you change and grow. Keep it coming baby! We're ready (we think)!

We love you!

Mommy and Daddy
