I Said My First Word Today!

I was with Mommy at Grandma and Papa's house today for a visit. They were sitting around talking (ignoring me!) while I was standing in the play pen. I wanted to get their attention so I started saying Dada Dada Dada over and over. It worked!! They all got so excited. Mommy even called Daddy so he could hear me say my first word. What a great day!

11 Months Old (And Mommy and Grandma's Birthday!)

One more month before the big ONE! We can't believe we are starting to plan your big party. We are all looking forward to seeing your San Diego Granny and New Jersey Aunt Rhoda.

You are such an amazing kid. Your personality is larger than life. You are such a people person. You love to get out and about. Your favorite places are restaurants, the mall and Starbucks (I think you have a crush on Ms.Amanda the Starbucks girl). When we go out, you try to make eye contact with strangers. If they look and smile at you, you giggle, duck your head, and then give them a big toothless grin. Yes, still toothless! We think we may need to get you a pair of dentures for your 1st birthday!

You are still eating and growing like a horse! A few of your new favorites are scrambled eggs, grilled cheese sandwiches and your Daddy's grilled steaks. Yes, you can gum steak!

You now crawl very fast! You love it when we let you crawl around and explore the house. Mommy follows you around as you take your tour. You touch and pull up on everything! You have a fascination with all of the ceiling fans. You love when mommy turns them off and on for you as you scuttle throughout the house.

You are so bright and curious. You are a pro at clapping, waving and pointing at things that interest you. You also enjoy feeding mommy and daddy during your mealtimes. You really like watching your daddy take a sip out of your sippy cup!

You had a blast attending your cousins Tatum and Tripp's 3rd birthday party this month. You actually were able to play with your cousins as they "fed" you food from their play kitchen set. They were so sweet to you. Tripp even let you play on his bulldozer!

Grandma Snider and I loved spending our birthday with you. You are the best birthday present!

You continue to bring the best out of everyone you meet.
