Having Fun with Uncle Ron.....

5 Months Old!

Dear Bruce,

Wow! I can't believe you're 5 months old today! I guess it's true what they say time flies when you're having fun. You make us smile and laugh every single day. You have such a sweet, happy and loving personality. Every morning we rush into your bedroom so we can get a look at your first smile for the day. You just love to giggle and scream when we give you belly kisses.

You have had a very busy couple of months. You have rolled over, eaten your first solid foods, and have discovered your feet! Tummy time is no longer an issue. Hip Hip Hooray!! You even like to spend time every morning on your tummy playing with your toys. You are really enjoying your solid foods. Your favorites are peaches and bananas. You're not so crazy about prunes, green beans or meat. I'm sure your tastes will change as you grow. And you are growing......almost 17 pounds! You are fascinated with your feet. We love to watch you slam your little toes into your hanging toys. You scared me the first night I heard you slam them against your crib! You are also using your feet and legs to help you squirm around your crib. When I put you down at night, your head is pointing north. When I walk in the next morning, your head is pointing south!!

You love music just like your Daddy. We play music from Dad's music collection every night. Before each nap, we lay on the floor together listening to soft music. You suck on your pacifier and play with my hands......I treasure this time with you. You also like when we sing to you. I can't carry a tune but it doesn't seem to bother you. Thank you for making me feel like such an accomplished singer! You absolutely love the Itsy Bitsy Spider, Patty Cake and Oh, What a Beautiful Morning (I think I drive Daddy crazy when I sing this to you every morning). As you already know, Mommy will do anything to get a grin out of her favorite little boy.

You are everything to us sweet guy.....

I Rolled Over Today!

Yep, from tummy to back. Mommy and Daddy were so excited! Dad was arranging all of my toys on the floor. Mom was standing up trying to talk me into rolling over.

I didn't think it was such a big deal. Daddy said Mommy was acting like she won the lottery! He told her to calm down or she was going to scare me!! I guess it doesn't take much to excite Mom. I can't imagine what she will do when I take my first step!!!
